• Nupur Shikhare is an Indian celebrity fitness trainer and consultant who specialises in Calisthenics and Movements. He has been training former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen since 2008. He came into the spotlight in 2020 when he started dating Aamir Khan‘s daughter, Ira Khan.

• Since childhood, Nupur was a keen sports player and grew up playing tennis. He also received training at Capoeira, a Martial arts school in Pune.

  

• Although he was a national-level tennis player and wanted to pursue a career in it, he inclined towards filmmaking when he moved from Pune to Mumbai in 2004.

• Thereafter, he made a couple of short films and videos which caught the attention of a Marathi film director who offered the job position of assistant director to Nurpur.

• Following his brief stint as an assistant director, he secured the job as a fitness trainer in the gym where he used to workout.

• In an interview, Nupur recalled that at the beginning of his career he used to roam around in Bandra handing over his business cards and looking for vacancies in the upscale gyms of the area.

• His life’s turning point came when he got hired by Sushmita Sen as a personal trainer on 28 March 2008.

  

• Since then, he has worked as a fitness trainer for various renowned personalities of Bollywood including Aamir Khan, Ira Khan, and Kiran Rao.

• In 2014, he participated in his first triathlon, Ironman 70.3 Taiwan. Ever since then, he has participated in various endurance multisport races like Ironman Copenhagen 2017 and Canthon – Cancer Awareness Run (2019); he finished in second position in Canthon (2019).

  

• In 2017, he participated in the Indian sports entertainment reality show competition Ultimate Beastmaster: India. Streaming on Netflix, the show followed athletes from India and five other countries who try to overcome a tough obstacle course to win the title.
• In 2018, he worked as an action director for the Disney India TV show Aladdin.

• He is skilled in a variety of training techniques like gym training, circuit training, functional training, parkour, martial art, capoeira, cross fit, and bodyweight training.

• Amid the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, he started dating Aamir Khan‘s daughter, Ira Khan.

• In September 2022, Nupur Shikhare became a brand ambassador for Bicycle brand Scott Sports India.

• Nupur Shikhare enjoys consuming alcoholic beverages occasionally.
