• Neeraj Kumar is an Indian professional Kabaddi player. He plays for the Indian National team as a defender. He’s been a part of several Kabaddi teams including Patna Pirates and SS. He has represented the team Patna Pirates for consecutive 4 seasons in the Pro Kabaddi League.

• In an interview, he revealed that he began playing Kabaddi while studying in 6th standard. He said that his elder brother motivated him to play the game.

• He joined the Indian Army in 2014.

• He made his debut in the Pro Kabaddi League with season 7, where he was acquired by the team Patna Pirates. He scored 55 tackle points from 22 matches, and became one of the top 5 players to score the highest tackle point in the season.

• He was retain by Patna Pirates for the season 8 and season 9 for Rs 49 lakh and Rs 54.20 lakh respectively.

• In season 8, he played 23 matches and scored 53 tackle points and 1 raid point.

  

• In season 9, he stepped up as the captain of the team. He manage to score 29 tackle points and 1 raid point from 21 matches in the season.

• In 2019, he participated in the 36th National Games, held in Gujarat. He helped the Indian team to secure the third position in the championship.

• Neeraj Kumar played in the 68th Senior Nationals Men in 2021. He secured 109 tackle points and 1 raid point in the championship.

• In 2021, he participated in the 47th Inter Services Kabaddi Championship and contributed to securing victory for his team.

  

• In 2022, he competed in the 48th Inter Services Kabaddi Championship and also won it.

• He has also took part in the 49th and 50th Inter Services Championship. He helped his team to won a gold medal in both the championships.

  

• He was retained for the fourth time by Patna Pirates in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 in 2023.
