• Nayani Dixit is an Indian actress, dancer, voice-over artist, acting mentor, and pageantry coach. She is known for her work in Indian films and web series. In 2023, she appeared in the web series ‘United Kachche’ which premiered on Zee 5.

• She aspired to become an actress since she was a child. In an interview, she revealed that she started acting in plays when she was five years old.

• In 2000, she was declared winner of the beauty pageant ‘Miss Kanpur.’

  

• Before entering the film and television industry, Nayani worked in radio plays for All India Radio in Delhi.

• After completing her post-graduation in Pune, she moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting.

• After making her television debut with the TV series ‘Rishta.com’ (2010), she appeared in the period drama TV series ‘Siyaasat,’ which aired on Epic TV. She played the role of Jagat Gosaini in the TV series.

  

• She has also appeared in some episodes in various shows such as Aahat, CID, and Savdhaan India.

• After making her debut with the film ‘Delhi Belly’ (2011), she played the supporting role of Sonal in the film ‘Queen’ starring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao.

• Apart from working in films and TV shows, she has also appeared in some web series. In 2020, she played the role of Ms Sethi in the web series ‘Abhay 2,’ premiered on the OTT platform Zee 5.

• In 2023, appeared in the web series ‘United Kacche’ starring Sunil Grover. She played the role of Zareen in the web series.

  

• In an interview, the actress said that she dreamt of becoming a film star when she was a child; however, when she took formal training/education in acting from FTII, she realised that she wanted to become a method actor. While talking about this in the interview, she said,
  

  FTII was the place that really made me understand what acting was actually. I realized that I wanted to be an actor rather than being a heroine.”

• Besides being an actress, Nayani Dixit is also a teacher. She teaches acting, modelling, speech and diction, and dance by conducting workshops across India. She has also conducted many workshops in Dubai and Bahrain.

• The actress has worked as a guest faculty at FTII, Pune, and has also been a faculty at Anupam Kher’s academy Whistling Woods. Many celebrities including Karan Deol and Manushi Chillar have taken training from her.

• Nayani Dixit is also a trained Kathak dancer for which she took training from Lucknow Gharana. She often posts her dancing videos on her social media accounts.

• According to Nayani Dixit, the Hindi language has been degraded in Bollywood films nowadays. She tried to restore the value of the Hindi language by promoting it through her workshops.
  

  We not only train budding actors but also make an effort to promote Hindi as a language, as we might be making films in Hindi but Hindi as a language has degraded in Bollywood films. With my workshops I just want to make an effort to uplift Hindi as a language in Bollywood films.”

• In an interview, she revealed that after working in the film ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ she was offered similar kinds of roles, therefore, she took a break from acting to avoid playing stereotypical roles for different projects. She said,
  

  After doing Kirti Kharbanda’s sister role in Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, I started getting offers of similar roles. As an actor I cannot afford to repeat myself.”

• She has been appointed as a judge for various beauty pageants including Femina Miss India 2023, Mrs West India 2019, and Ms India Curvy 2018-19.

• In February 2023, she was featured on the cover of the digital magazine ‘Women Icons of India,’ moreover, the magazine also featured stories of the struggles that she faced in her journey of becoming an actress.

  

• She is one of the members of the advisory board of an audio platform called ‘Gaatha.’ She also narrates stories and poetry at the events organised by the audio platform.
