Nandamuri made his first on-screen appearance in 1989 as a child artist in the Telugu film ‘Bala Gopaludu’ as Raja.

In 2003, he got his first break as an actor in the Telugu film ‘Toli Choopulone’ as Raju but the film didn’t do well.

In 2005, he started his own production company ‘N. T. R. Arts’, named after his grandfather Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) and produced many Telugu films like ‘Athanokkade’ (2005), ‘Hare Ram’ (2008), ‘Jayeebhava’ (2009), ‘Kalyanram Kathi’ (2010), etc.

He also runs a VFX (Visual Effects) company ‘Advitha Creative Studios’ that provides special effects for films.
