• In 1988, Nagendra Babu was cast in the Telugu action crime film titled ‘Marana Mrudangam’ in which he played the character of Bhillu.

• In the same year, Nagendra Babu and his brother Chiranjeevi started their own film production company named ‘Anjana Productions’ which is named after their mother Anjana Devi. The company is based out of Hyderabad.
