• Michael Bracewell is a New Zealand cricketer who scored the third-fastest century for New Zealand in ODI cricket while batting in the first match of the series against India in 2023. In 2023, he was chosen by Royal Challengers Bangalore for the IPL series as a replacement for Will Jacks who missed the IPL because of his injury.

• When he was 10 years old, he used to go to Carisbrook stadium, New Zealand to watch Black Caps play against England.

• He made his debut for the Otago Cricket team in 2011 and moved to Wellington in 2017.

Bracewell came in to bat on number 7 and scored 140 runs. His team could not win the match, but his performance in the match was highly appreciated by everyone. In an interview, he talked about his performance and said,
  

  T20 has been a huge influence on one day cricket and that is what makes one day cricket so exciting. You can be in a position like we were in and you can still work your way up to a position of power. I don’t think we got ourselves to a position of power but we got ourselves in a position where we could have won the game.”

• On 31 March 2023, Bracewell played in the instar-squad practice match ahead of their first match in the IPL series where he scored 105 off 55 balls, including 8 fours and 7 sixes.

• In 2023, in a match against Sri Lanka, while Bracewell was bowling from over the wicket, the ball changed directions because the weather turned windy. The wind led to the bowl landing on the edge of the pitch which surprised the players and the commentators.

• On 27 February 2023, in a test match between New Zealand and England, Bracewell’s performance was criticised by many people because he did not slide the bat into the crease after the baller Stokes’ throw arrived at England wicketkeeper Ben Foakes. His bat and feet were in the air which led to his wicket. Many people criticized him by saying that this is the first thing taught to any cricketer and that Bracewell was playing very casually.
