Some Lesser Known Facts About MC Sabesan

• MC Sabesan grew up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

• He hailed from a family involved in the arts and music.

• He began his career in music along with his brother Murali under the guidance of their elder brother, composer Deva. Deva played a key role in shaping their early journey in the Tamil film industry.

• During their early years, Sabesh and Murali gained experience by working as assistants in the music field before making their independent mark.

• In 1999, the brothers received their first major opportunity when they were assigned to compose the background score for the Tamil film ‘Jodi,’ starring Prashanth.

• The opportunity to compose the background score for ‘Jodi’ came unexpectedly when A. R. Rahman, who had created the film’s songs, was unavailable to do it.

• Sabesh and Murali’s background score for ‘Jodi’ was highly appreciated, which marked a turning point in their musical journey and brought them into the spotlight.

• Following the success of ‘Jodi,’ the duo made their debut as independent music directors with the 2001 Tamil film Samuthiram and officially established themselves in the industry as the ‘Sabesh-Murali’ duo.
