• Manasvi Mamgai is an Indian model, actress, and producer who has won many Indian and worldwide beauty pageants. She became popular in 2010 when she was crowned the Femina Miss India World.

• She spent her childhood in Chandigarh, and after completing her schooling, she moved to Mumbai where she learnt acting at Anupam Kher’s acting school. She hails from Garser village in Garud block of Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand from her paternal side and Nainital from her maternal side.

  

• During her teenage, she participated and won many awards in the dancing, singing, and skating competitions. When she was ten, she won the skating event at the Sah Memorial Skating Competition three years in a row in 1998, 1999, and 2000.

• Manasvi started modelling on the advice of Rhea Pillai, former model and ex-wife of tennis player Leander Paes, who met her mother at an Art of Living camp in Chandigarh. After meeting up with a few modelling agencies, she moved to Delhi and ventured into modelling.

• After winning the Elite Model Look India competition, she debuted in beauty pageants in the 2006 Lakme Fashion Week. In 2008, she won the Miss Tourism International title, and in 2010, she won the Femina Miss India World.
  

  

  

• She was placed among the top 8 contestants in the Dances of the World category in the Miss World Finale in 2010, held in China. She has modelled in many other shows for various brands and appeared on the cover of many fashion magazines.
  

  

  

• She harboured the dream of becoming Miss India since the age of six when she saw Aishwarya Rai being crowned Miss Universe in 1994. When she started modelling, she had a contract with an international modelling agency Elite and later with Fair & Lovely. Miss India participants are required to be non-contracted with any agency, hence she finished her contracts and became Miss India in 2010.

• She revealed in an interview that she gave up a seat in a leading architecture course at a reputed college after 12th to pursue a career in modelling.

• She began her acting career in 2012 by acting in the movement-based play LIMBO and later in the documentary film The World Before Her. In her debut film Action Jackson, she acted alongside Ajay Devgn; the film was directed by Prabhu Deva.
