Some Lesser Known Facts About Manasi Joshi
Manasi Joshi is a well-known Para-Badminton player. She has won a gold medal in BWF Para-Badminton World Championships (2019).
She started playing badminton with her father when she was 6 years old.
After completing her Bachelors, she started working at Atos India. In 2011, when she was on her two-wheeler driving to her office, a truck hit her and crushed her left leg and it was amputated. She was hospitalised for almost 50 days, and later, she started walking with a prosthetic leg.
Even after losing her one leg, she continued to work at Atos. Her life found a new direction when her company organised a badminton tournament. She participated in it and won the match.
In 2014, she represented Maharashtra at selection trials for the Asian Games, and in the same year, she won her first national tournament against the Arjuna Award winner- Parul Parmar.

She went on to play at various national and international tournaments.
In 2018, she enrolled herself in P. Gopichand badminton academy at Hyderabad for training.
In 2019, Manasi Joshi and Para-Athlete, Deepa Malik, appeared in the ‘Karmaveer’ episode (11 October 2019) of Kaun Banega Crorepati 11 (2019).
