Some Lesser Known Facts About Malvika Nair

• Since childhood, Malvika aspired to get into an IIT and become a pilot; however, she pursued history, literature and political science during her college graduation.

• During schooling, she appeared in various advertisements and also in a music video directed by the Indian musical composer Mohan Sithara.

• She entered the film industry at the age of 13. At the beginning of her career, she appeared in various films in small roles.

• In 2012, she appeared in a song in the Malayalam film Ustad Hotel. In the same year, she appeared as the daughter of the lead characters in the films Puthiya Theerangal (2012) and Karmayodha(2012).

  

• In 2013, she played her first major role in the Malayalam drama film Black Butterfly. In the film, she played the role of an acid attack victim named Reena. The film was a remake of the Telugu film Vazhakku Enn 18/9.

• After seeing her performance in the film, the director of Vazhakku Enn 18/9 asked Indian film director Raju Murugan to cast her in his romantic drama film Cuckoo (2014).

• In 2014, she appeared in the Tamil-language romantic drama film Cuckoo. In the film, she played the role of Sudhanthirakodi, an independent blind girl.

  

• She has appeared in various Telugu and Tamil films including Kalyana Vaibhogame (2016), Ninu Veedani Needanu Nene (2019), Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi (2023), and Devil: The British Secret Agent (2023).

• In 2024, she made a cameo appearance in the Telugu-language science fiction film Kalki 2898 AD. In the film, she played the role of a princess named Uttara.

• She is a dog lover and often posts pictures of herself with her dogs on her social media.
