After passing intermediate in 1973, he worked in the areas of education, health, and technology. In 2010, Malla Reddy Narayana Multispeciality Hospital was commissioned with Malla Reddy as its founder-chairman. He became the co-director of Malla Software Technologies Private Limited in September 2010.
