• Mahant Raju Das is an Indian spiritual leader, who adheres to the teachings of Mahant Ram Das, who is one of the mahants belonging to the four factions of priests assigned with the responsibility of managing Ayodhya’s Hanuman Garhi temple in a rotational manner.

• When Das was four and a half years old, his parents abandoned him at the Hanumangarhi temple in Ayodhya.

• Growing up, he became associated with the Bajrang Dal.

• During his student years, he was affiliated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

• He joined the ABVP, the student wing of the BJP, and participated in the student union elections of Saket Mahavidyalaya at Awadh University.

• In the early 2000s, he ventured into politics and actively engaged in various community initiatives, accepting every invitation that came his way.

• At a young age, Raju Das arrived in Ayodhya, where he dedicated himself to spiritual practices and became a disciple of Sant Ram Das. Prior to the 2017 municipal elections in Uttar Pradesh, Raju Das was identified as one of the BJP’s potential candidates for the mayoral position in Ayodhya.
