Some Lesser Known Facts About Maci Currin

• Maci Currin is a Texan teen and aspiring model, who made the Guinness World Record of having the world’s longest legs (female).

• At present, she is a high school student (as of 2020). She also wished to move to the UK to continue her higher studies.

• When Maci was born, she was 19 in tall. When she turned 18 months old, she was 2 ft 1 in, and by her ninth birthday, she was already 5ft 7 in tall.

• While shopping for her leggings in 2018, Maci realized that she had exceptionally long legs when she couldn’t fit in any of the leggings and was asked if she wanted a custom pair of leggings. She then started investigating on making it to the Guinness Book of World Records to gain the title of having long legs.

• In October 2020, when the 2021 Edition of Guinness World Record was published, Maci was recorded as ‘having the world’s longest legs (female)’ and ‘longest legs on a teenager,’ with her left leg measuring 135.267 cm (53.255 in), and her right leg measuring 134.3 cm (52.874 in). ^[3]Guinness World Records

• By making it to the Guinness Book of World Record for having the world’s longest leg (female), she broke the record of Ekaterina Lisina of Russia, who previously held the title of having the longest legs at 132.8 cm. 

• Maci believes that being a tall person also comes with certain challenges. According to Maci,
  

  It can be hard to fit through certain doorways, get into cars, or have clothes fit just right.”

  However, she encourages people to be themselves and embrace their physical attributes not hiding them.

• Maci is the tallest member in her family; her mother, father, and brother are 5 ft 7 in, 6 ft 5 in, and 6ft 3 in tall, respectively.

• Even though she has the world’s longest legs, she is lacking few inches to become the world’s tallest living woman, a title currently held by China’s Sun Fang at the height of 7 ft 3 in. She is farther away from China’s Zeng Jinlian, who holds the record for being the tallest woman ever at 8 ft ​1 3⁄4 in; Jinlian died in 1982.

  

• Maci is very athletic and plays volleyball for her high school. In 2019, Maci participated in the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships (GJNC) as a part of her high school volleyball team.
