• He grew up in Georgia, U.S.

  

• When he was 19 years old, he decided to move to Nashville. However, before this, his older brother Chris died in a car accident.

• His mother, LeClaire, made a statement following the death of her elder son. She said,

  We knew Luke at some point would come to Nashville. But … you can’t leave your family, and … I couldn’t bear the thought of him being away.”

• During his college days, Luke joined the Sigma Chi fraternity and dated Caroline, who later became his wife.

  

• After some years, they met again when he performed at a bar in Statesboro. They were in a relationship before getting married.

  

• Two years after completing his formal education, his father encouraged him to move to Nashville to pursue his music dreams.

• At Nashville, he first became a songwriter.

• Soon, he started singing, and his first song All My Friends Say became a hit. It was co-written with producer Jeff Stevens. It reached number 5 on the Hot Country Songs chart.
