Some Lesser Known Facts About Krishan Kumar

• He is known for playing the role of Sundar Sehgal in the Hindi-language musical thriller film Bewafa Sanam (1995). He is the younger brother of the Indian music baron Gulshan Kumar.

• Krishan’s family traces its origins to the Jhang province of West Punjab. Following the anti-Hindu riots during the partition of India in 1947, his parents migrated to Delhi as refugees.

• Krishan Kumar grew up in a middle-class family in Delhi.

• Krishan began his career as an actor with the 1993 Hindi-language romantic thriller film Aaja Meri Jaan. He played the role of Chand Kapoor in the film. The film did not perform well at the box office.

• He then appeared in the Hindi films Kasam Teri Kasam (1993) and Shabnam (1993), which again failed to entertain the audience.

• In 1995, Krishan Kumar played the role of Sundar Sehgal in the Hindi film Bewafa Sanam. The film was a blockbuster and gained Krishan immense popularity.

  

• In 2000, Krishan acted in the Hindi film Papa The Great and subsequently, quit acting.

  

• He has produced many popular Hindi films like Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006), Darling (2007), Nautanki Saala! (2013), Airlift (2016), Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018), and Marjaavaan (2019).

  

• Krishan Kumar has also co-produced several hit Hindi films like Ready (2011), Tanhaji (2020), Thappad (2020), Adipurush (2022), Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022), and Gumraah (2023).

• It is said that Gulshan Kumar nurtured aspirations of becoming an actor since his early years. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints within his family, he was unable to pursue his dream. Later, when Gulshan gained recognition through T-Series, he ventured into film production and launched his brother, Krishan Kumar, with hopes of seeing him rise to stardom. However, Krishan faced several setbacks as most of his films failed to make an impact.

• After the passing of his brother Gulshan Kumar, Krishan Kumar plunged into a profound state of depression. He decided to step away from his acting career and took on the responsibility of caring for his brother’s children.

• Krishan holds a prominent position within T-Series, which is recognized as India’s largest Music Label and Movie Studio.

• On 29 November 2024, Tanya Singh, his wife, took to social media to reveal that the earlier notion of Tishaa dying of cancer was untrue as she never had cancer. She claimed that she died because of a “misdiagnosis” of an autoimmune disease which was triggered by a vaccination that she took when she was 15 years old.

  

• She also laid the blame on the medical industry and said that the family was “sucked into a medical trap” as they were not aware of the truth then.
