• Kiran Dubey was born in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, but later her family shifted to Dehradun.

• Kiran Dubey is a follower of Osho, once in an interview she said when she was 14 years old her father introduced her to the teachings of Osho, and from then she started following him and his teachings.

  

• Dubey is also a meditation facilitator and encourages people for meditation and other mindfulness techniques.

• To pursue her higher studies she moved to Pune, Maharashtra.

• Dubey once said her friends like to call her Smita not Kiran.

• In 1994, she participated in the Miss Pune Beauty Pageant and grabbed the first runner-up position.

• While studying at the New York Film Academy, she met with Hollywood film director John Henry Richardson. He was impressed by her acting skills and offered her a role in his upcoming TV series.
