Jadhav started his IPL journey with the Delhi Daredevils in the year 2010. He straightaway justified his worth by scoring a match-winning 29-ball 50 in his debut match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Jadhav plays for Maharashtra in domestic cricket. In 2012, he made his first triple century by scoring 327, the second-highest by a Maharashtra batsman ever in the Ranji Trophy, against Uttar Pradesh at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

In the 2013–14 Ranji Trophy season, he scored a total of 1223 runs which include six centuries; he was the highest run-getter in the season and also the fourth-highest in the tournament’s history. For this feat, he was awarded the Madhavrao Scindia Award.

Jadhav was named in the Indian squad for Bangladesh tour in June 2014, however, he did not get any game to play and thus made his official debut a few months later in a series against Sri Lanka. India whitewashed Sri Lanka for the first time at a scoreline of 5-0.
