  • Kavinder Gupta joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) when he was 13 years old.
  • He was sent to jail for 13 months during the Emergency rule in India.

  • From 1978 to 1979, Kavinder Gupta served as Secretary of the Punjab unit of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP).

  • From 1993 to 1998, he served as the chief of the Jammu & Kashmir unit of the Bharatiya Yuva Morcha.
