Kamal Chamkila had a close bond with her father’s second wife Amarjot’s sister. She used to come to visit Kamal every now and then.

In 2000, Amarjot’s sister took Kamal Chamkila to meet her stepbrother Jaiman Chamkila for the first time in Ludhiana.
