Some Lesser Known Facts About Junaiz VP

• Junaiz VP is an Indian YouTuber. He gained popularity after he participated in the Asianet TV reality show Bigg Boss Malayalam Season Five (2023), where he emerged as the second runner-up.

• Junaiz, when he was eight months old, his mother was murdered by his father. Later, Junaiz was brought up by his maternal uncle and elder brother in Kerala. In an interview, Junaiz talked about this and said,
  

  My mother died when I was eight months old. There is a problem between mom and dad. Then he took something in his hand and threw it at her. Mother died in that throw. And you know, all the legal stuff that can happen in a house if you have an incident. After Umma’s death, Umma’s brother and my elder brother took care of me. I have never known the downside of not having parents. My thoughts and ideas come from my experiences.”

• In 2021, Junaiz started his self-titled YouTube channel in which he uploaded funny short videos. He has more than 1.2 million subscribers on YouTube. He also shares his short videos on Instagram. He has more than 314K followers on Instagram.

  

• Before venturing into the career of YouTuber, Junaiz worked in a finance company in Bengaluru. In 0ctober 2021, Junaiz left his job to pursue a full-time career as a YouTuber. In an interview, Junaiz talked about the initial days of his career as a YouTuber. He said,
  

  In the beginning only small funny videos were done. Actually, I’m not that big of a joker. I am a person who loves to read books. It was only when my videos started getting acceptance from the audience that I decided to be a little more responsible. That’s how critical videos are decided through satire. The character of Amina also came from it. I am trying to communicate my rights and wrongs. The aim was to satirize those who espoused reactionary ideas through comedy. I understand that the audience liked it.”

• In 2023, Junaiz made his television debut as a participant with the Asianet and Disney+ Hotstar reality show Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5; the reality show was hosted by Mohanlal. On 2 July 2023, during the grand finale of the show, Junaiz VP emerged as the second runner-up of the show; Akhil Marar emerged as the winner, while Reneesha Rahiman claimed the title of the first runner-up of the show.
