• His father was born in Hainan Island, China.

• He grew up in Kent, England.

  

• As a child, he used to spend holidays in Pembrokeshire, Wales.

• In the late 1990s, he moved to Pembrokeshire with friends and practised Ratu Bagus, a form of meditation.

• During his school days, he started participating in stage plays.
