Some Lesser Known Facts About Jayakrishnan

• Jayakrishnan came from a farming family.

• He studied at the school where his father was an arts teacher.

• When Jayakrishnan was young, he became interested in acting through the theatre arts club in his hometown.

• At 20, after completing his graduation, he moved from Kottayam to Thiruvananthapuram to work in films with five hundred rupees.

• In Thiruvananthapuram, Jayakrishnan stayed in a lodge, which he shared with a few friends.

  

• Later, he got a call from Telematic Studio, where a technician named Vinod told him that his voice was chosen for a documentary commentary.

• After that, Jayakrishnan began getting more documentary work from time to time.

• Once during a media conversation, he shared the struggles of his career. He said,
  

  I and some friends lived on the money I got. I was staying at Govindamandiram Lodge at that time. There were no roads in Thiruvananthapuram that I did not walk in my wanderings in search of opportunities. Since it was the time when dreams took hold of my head, that was not a problem.”

• After appearing in the film Habelinte Vayalukal in 1994, he went on to appear in various films such as Naatturajavu (2004), Oru Naal Varum (2010), Pulimurugan (2016), Vidhi: The Verdict (2021), and Iyer in Arabia (2024).

  

• In 1997, Jayakrishnan appeared in the television serial Ninavukal Novukal, directed by cinematographer Sunny Joseph.

• In 1998, his character in the television show Sooryakanthi made him a popular face in the entertainment industry.
