• Jasbir Singh was born in a traditional Sikh family in Punjab, India.

• He later started farming on his ancestral land.

• In 2008, he started his YouTube channel named JaanMahal video, where he often uploaded cooking recipe videos while making different dishes.

  

• He later started making family vlogs and started another channel, Mahal Vlogs, where he uploaded videos of his trips and any celebrations with his family.

  

• According to the news reports, Jyoti Malhotra, a YouTuber who runs the ‘Travel with Jo’ channel, was also arrested for sharing secret information and visiting Pakistan several times. She took her name multiple times during her interrogation.

• On 3 June 2025, he was arrested on Tuesday in Mohali by the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC), Mohali.

• Police officials claimed Singh was linked to a Pakistani spying network and was in contact with Shakir (a Pakistani spy), YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, and Danish, a former Pakistani official.

  

• They also revealed that he went to Pakistan three times (in 2020, 2021, and 2024) and met Pakistani vloggers and army officers at an event in Delhi invited by Danish.

• They also found many Pakistan-based numbers in his mobile and laptop.

• It was found in a preliminary investigation that after Jyoti Malhotra’s arrest, he tried to delete his chats and records with Pakistani agents to avoid being caught.

• Jasbir was taken to Mohali court, which gave police three days of custody. He told the media while going on, “Truth will win.”

• An FIR was filed at SSOC Mohali under the Official Secrets Act and Sections 152 and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

• As of 4 June 2025, he had 11 lakh subscribers on YouTube, 41 thousand followers on Instagram, and 2.8 lakh followers on Facebook.
