• Ishaan Tharoor was born in Singapore in 1984, while his father, Indian National Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, worked as an Indian diplomat.

• From 2006 to 2010, Ishaan Tharoor worked as a reporter at Time Magazine in Hong Kong.
