Some Lesser Known Facts About Indira Tiwari

• Indira Tiwari is an Indian film and theatre actress who starred in Netflix’s movie, ‘Serious Men’ (2020) opposite the well-known Bollywood actor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

• Since childhood, Indira Tiwari was multi-talented. In 2008, she received the National Bal Shree Honour for Creative Arts (paintings, sculpture and papercraft) from the then Indian president, Pratibha Patil. She has also learned the basics of various dance forms like Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Indian Belet, and Purulia Chhau. She is well-versed in Pure Mime and Pento Mime. Apart from these, she has also acquired a knowledge of classical singing, i.e., Khayal Gayan, and Dhrupad Gayan.

  

• She made a cameo appearance in movies like Aarakshan (2011) and Satyagraha (2013), in which she shared the screen with veterans like Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgan.

  

• In 2017, she starred in a few documentaries, including the popular social documentary made on the issue of colourism and casteism in India, ‘Unfair.’

•  In 2019, Tiwari starred in a Hindi feature film, Nazarband, in which she portrayed the role of ‘Vasanti.’

  

• In 2020, Indira Tiwari starred in the Netflix film ‘Serious Men’, opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film is based on the book of the same name by Manu Joseph.
