• Himanshu started his career in the film Industry through music videos which includes Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s Afreen Afreen (1996) with Lisa Ray. He was also seen in Sonu Nigam’s Deewane Hoke Hum (2000) with Sandali Sinha.

• Himanshu gained recognition in the Bollywood from a romantic film Tum Bin (2001) in which he portrayed the character of Abhigyan, a wealthy Canadian industrialist.

• In 2003, he played lead in the film Khwaish opposite Mallika Sherawat. The came into limelight due to its sensuality and kissing scenes.

• Some of his other notable films includes Jungle (2000) in which he portrayed the role of Pawan, LOC Kargil (2003) as Major Vivek Gupta, and Rog (2005) as Ali.

• In 2007, he appeared in a Kannada film named Sajni, in which he portrayed the role of Singer Kailash.

• In 2012, he wrote and directed short film Q.E.D.

• In 2016, he appeared in the film 7 Hours to Go and he portrayed the role of Jason Statham.

• In 2022, Himanshu turned into a writer, director and producer with the film Chitrakut (2022). He also portrayed the role of head chef in the film.

• In 2024, he appeared in a supporting role in the Bollywood film Ulajh as Yaseen Mirza starring Janhvi Kapoor.
