• Hassan Sheheryar Yasin belongs to a Punjabi agricultural community, Arain (Raeen).

• His parents were separated when he was a child, and his mother, with the children, shifted to New York, USA.

  

• He completed his school education in Pakistan, where the family shifted when he was 16.

• He was the president of the debate club and the dramatics club in school.

  

• He started earning at the young age of 12 and had multiple jobs throughout his student days.

• He was blind for more than a year after a road accident and had to undergo 16 surgeries to restore his sight. He is a global ambassador and patron for a charity organization helping blind children.

• He was a salutatorian graduate of the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design.

• He is also on the board of directors of L’Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, a learning centre in Paris.

• In 1994, he worked as a fashion choreographer for the fashion shows.

• After graduation, he introduced his brand, The World of HSY, in 2000.

• Since 2007, he introduced jewellery and accessories to his brand.
