• Harsh Dubey was born in a middle-class family.

  

• He was one going to school during 4th standard when they took a wrong turn. He saw young children practising cricket and got interested in cricket.

  

• His father worked in the CISF (Central Industrial Security Force), and his mother was a teacher. But his father later quit his job to help him train.

  

• He trained at local clubs and played matches.

• He finished as the highest wicket-taker of the 2019-2020 season of the Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy.

• In June 2022, he scored 116 runs in 107 balls for MRC-A in the TNCA Division Finals.

  

• He signed a contract with SG Cricket in July 2022.

  

• In June 2023, he participated in the Under-23 NCA Emerging Camp in Pondicherry.

• He made headlines in the 2024-2025 Ranji Trophy season after finishing as the highest wicket-taker ever, helping Vidarbha win the trophy. He broke Ashutosh Aman’s record of 68 wickets in the 2018-2019 season.

  

• He also scored 476 runs, finishing as Man of the Tournament. He also became the 6th bowler to ever take more than 60 wickets in one season of the Ranji Trophy.

  

• He went unsold in the 2023 and 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) auctions for his base price of Rs 20 lakhs.

• No team acquired him in the 2025 IPL mega auction for his base price of Rs 30 lakhs, but SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) acquired him on 5 May 2025 for his base price as a replacement for Smaran Ravichandran, who was ruled out due to an injury.
