• Harish Rai worked in Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu films.

• Some of his well-known works include ‘Nalla’ (2004), ‘Swayamvara’ (2010), ‘Sanju Weds Geetha’ (2011), ‘Raj Bahadur’ (2016), ‘Bangalore Underworld’ (2017), and ‘Simharoopini’ (2024).

• Harish Rai gained fame for his portrayal of Khasim Chacha in the film series ‘KGF’ (2018) and ‘KGF 2’ (2022).

  

• Harish Rai once spoke in the media about his health problems and the high cost of his treatment. He said that one injection cost Rs 3.55 lakh, and doctors gave three injections in each 63-day cycle, making it Rs 10.5 lakh for one cycle.

• Patients often need 17 to 20 injections, so the total treatment cost could reach around Rs. 70 lakh.

• After that, Harish Rai talked with a social media influencer about his health and his wish to act again after recovering from throat cancer.

• In the interview, he spoke about KGF actor Yash, who helped him in the past. Harish Rai said,

  Yash has helped me before. I cannot keep asking him every time. How much can one person do? I haven’t informed him about my health, but I know if he comes to know, he will definitely stand by me. He is just one call away, though he is busy in his films. I’ve told my family and sons to reach out to him if anything happens to me, because I know he won’t turn away.”

  

• On 6 November 2025, Harish Rai passed away at the age of 55 in Kidwai Hospital, Bengaluru, after a battle with cancer.
