  • As a college student, she won a competition conducted by Cosmopolitan (an American fashion and entertainment magazine) and wrote several features as part of their student advisory panel.
  • Her professional journalism career started in 1996 as an editorial assistant at Marie Claire (a French international monthly magazine) in London.
  • She became a freelance journalist in 1998 and wrote regular features and columns for women’s magazines including Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and Marie Claire.
