• In 1992, while pursuing graduation, Gajendra Singh was elected as president of the Student Union at Jai Narain Vyas University (JNVU). During college, he was a part of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad.

•  He has also held the position of National General Secretary of the farmer’s wing of the Bharatiya Janta Party also known as the BJP Kisan Morcha.

• He has also been a member of the Rajasthan State Executive of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

• Gajendra Singh is known for his contribution towards the expansion of the Jodhpur Airport on which he has been working for 18 years.
