• Gabriel Yoshimoto was born into a Brazilian family of Japanese descent.

  

• At the age of 8, he started swimming and later became a professional swimmer. When he was only 15 years old, he won 3 medals in the São Paulo Youth Winter Championship in 2009.

• When he was 19, he moved to Mississippi, USA to pursue his college education on a scholarship.

  

• He lived there for 6 years and worked as a lifeguard.

  

• He continued swimming till the age of 26 and competed in various college-level swimming tournaments and won many medals. He even became the 5th best swimmer in the USA.

  

• He later started participating in endurance races and won many local competitions.

  

• In 2021, he began modelling for local brands and later became an event promoter.

  

• He made headlines in 2025 with his participation in the Big Brother Brasil 25, aired on TV Globo, as a partner with Maike Cruz. Their team name was Team Maioshi.

  

• He was only 13 years old when he met Cruz for the first time during swimming training at the Olympic Training and Research Center and later became very close friends.

  

• During his introduction on the show, Yoshimoto described himself as a person full of energy who liked to go behind whatever he wanted.
