• Erika Hammond grew up in Texas.

  

• She participated in Miss Lubbock Texas Teen in 2009 and emerged as a winner.

  

• In 2010, she competed in Miss Texas Teen USA and became the first runner-up.

  

• After taking part in beauty pageants, she moved to Los Angeles from Texas to pursue a career in entertainment. Her agent, however, suggested she audition for WWE in 2013.

• In March 2013, Erika joined WWE NXT, where she was given the ring name ‘Veronica Lane.’ She worked as a wrestler, ring announcer, and backstage interviewer until September 2014.

  

• During her time in WWE NXT, she was awarded the title of Miss NXT.

  

• Erika worked as a fitness coach at a boxing coaching centre named ‘Prevail Boxing’ in Los Angeles, California, for two years, i.e., from 2014 to 2016.

  

• In November 2016, she joined Rumble Boxing, a gym, as a social media manager. Later, she started working as a senior talent manager and co-creator at the gym. She serves as one of the founding members of the gym.

• Erika met Ankur Jain, an entrepreneur and investor, at Rumble Boxing where Ankur was a client and she was his trainer. They started dating after getting to know each other; Ankur asked Erika out during one of their gym sessions.

• In 2018, Erika participated in Miss New York USA, where she made it to the top 19 finalists.

• Erika got married to Ankur in Egypt on 26 April 2024. They opted for a non-traditional wedding and skipped the classic wedding cakes. Instead, they enjoyed affogatos and set up three dessert stations from their favourite New York confectioners.
