• Dr Sankarasubramanian K is an Indian scientist, who is a senior scientist at ISRO. In 2023, he became the Principal Scientist for ISRO’s first solar mission ‘Aditya-L1 Mission’ for doing research on the sun.

• When he was studying for his PhD at Bangalore University, he wrote his thesis about the Sun’s magnetic fields.
