• Eric Berg is an American chiropractor who has also served in the United States Army. He is also a dietician and YouTuber and is known for giving tips on losing weight through healthy ketosis and intermittent fasting on YouTube and social media.

• From June 1983 to December 1987, Eric Berg worked as a reservist in the US Army. While serving there, he was posted at Fort Jackson in South Carolina, Fort Sam Houston in Texas, and Fort Riley in Kansas. Eric also trained as an X-ray technician while serving in the U. S. Army.

• Eric appeared for the National Board of Chiropractic Examination and Certificate of Proficiency in Chiropractic X-rays Examination in December 1988 and passed them.

• Eric was hired by the Sound Chiropractic David Graham in Washington, D. C., where he worked as an associate intern from January 1989 to June 1989.

• He worked as an associate intern at Moll Chiropractic from June 1989 to December 1989.

• Eric practised as a private chiropractor in San Diego, California, from January 1990 to September 1993.

• Eric appeared for the California Board of Chiropractic Examination and the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examination in January 1990 and passed.

• Eric shifted to Shreveport, Louisiana, where he worked as a private chiropractor from October 1993 to August 1997.

• Eric began working with high-ranking government officials after founding the Berg Institute of Health & Wellness in September 1997.

• Eric was appointed as the vice chair of the Department of Nutritiology at Howard University in 2005. He also gave lectures to his students on nutrition as an adjunct professor.

So jumping on the social media allows me to get attention from a lot of people.”

• Eric has also served in several medical organisations like the American Endocrinology Society and the Health Science Institute as a member of the advisory panels.

• On 19 December 2008, Eric uploaded his first video on his YouTube channel, Dr. Eric Berg DC, in which he was shown giving tips to a former NFL player named Duane Clemons on how to lose weight. As of December 2022, he has more than 9.05 million subscribers on his channel. Through his channel, Eric provides information regarding the keto diet, intermittent fasting, the benefits and side effects of consuming different types of food, etc. Every day, he used to get more than 500,000 views on YouTube in 2018. Eric published one video in the morning and one video at night. According to Eric, before making a video on YouTube, he gets up early and also works on the weekends to gather information about the topic that he wants to post on YouTube. During a podcast, while talking about it, he said,
  

  Well, it’s one of those things. I was just lucky. Overnight it happened just like that. No. No. It did not happen overnight. It’s something called blood, sweat, and tears. I put the time in now. I actually get up at 5:30 and I work on weekends but I’m really not working, I would do this as a hobby. I love doing it. So there’s momentum and then you just keep finding ways to widen the sphere of spaces, you know? You have this thing that you do and then you find ways of like other platforms where I am doing a podcast now. We’re going to do Pinterest. But I’m not going to do those all at once, I’m just focused at one. I’m focused on YouTube and I’ll just take from there and keep expanding it to different platforms.

  Eric also claimed that initially when he started posting videos on YouTube, he used to get depressed as his videos were getting very less views.

• Eric donated $500,000 in 2018 to a Scientology membership organization called the International Association of Scientologists.

• Eric has authored several books on following a healthy Keto diet.
