• In 1973, Trump came into the limelight for the first time when he was accused by the Justice Department for violating the “Fair Housing Act.”

• In 2006, he launched his brand of vodka “Trump’s Vodka.” He also has his brand of bottled water named “Trump Ice.”

Many Democratic leaders said that even though Soleimani was an enemy of the United States, conducting a drone strike on an Iranian leader without congressional approval was unethical and wrong.

• In September 2021, he became a boxing commentator when he was scheduled to provide commentary from ringside on 11 September 2021 for an exhibition boxing card that was headlined by Evander Holyfield, a 58-year-old former heavyweight champion.

• In October 2021, Trump announced that he was going to launch a social media company, TRUTH Social, to “stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech.” Since the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, he was banned from social media platforms Facebook and Twitter. In a statement released via email by the Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), he said,
  

  We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced.”

  Reportedly, this social media platform will be a result of the merger of TMTG and Digital World Acquisition Group, with TMTG eventually becoming a publicly listed company. According to sources, the expected launch of the app is in the first quarter of 2022. Trump said,

  I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!”

• On 4 March 2024, he lost the Republican primary in Washington DC to Nikki Haley.

• On 13 July 2024, he was hit in the ear in an alleged assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. The FBI later identified the shooter as Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old from Pennsylvania’s Bethel Park.

  

• On 1 August 2024, Trump targeted Kamala’s claims of being both Indian-American and African-American on social media. He shared a photo of Kamala Harris during her visit to her maternal grandparents in Chennai. He made the post shortly after saying “Kamala had turned African-American recently” during an event.

  

• In January 2025, his cryptocurrency $TRUMP faced a 50 per cent loss after his wife started her cryptocurrency $MELANIA by diverting resources from $TRUMP.

• In the same month, he hit headlines after he passed an executive order according to which the law of the US would recognise only two sexes, Male, and Female, in the US. He talked about it and said,
  

  As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female.”

• He also halted over 78 executive orders signed by President Joe Biden. In the same month, he passed several orders, instructing the attorney generals of the states to ensure that there were ample amounts of lethal injections to carry out death sentences of the inmates, reinstating military officials removed from service for denying COVID-19 vaccinations, withdrawing the US from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Paris Agreement, the death penalty for illegal immigrants, and ending automatic birthright citizenship for children of non-permanent residents.

• Over 22 states later filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court of the US seeking a halt on the birthright citizen order.

• Thereafter, he ordered Elon to work on a plan with his SpaceX to help bring Astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch back to Earth.

• On 31 January 2025, Trump threatened to impose sanctions and a 100 per cent tariff on member countries of the BRICS who were willing to disband the US dollar in favour of the BRICS currency, released in 2024. He also referred to the member countries as “hostile.”

  

• In April 2025, he hit the headlines when he instructed the Department of Education to freeze $2.2 billion to be given in funds to Harvard University after the institute refused to adhere to Trump’s instructions to limit on-campus activism work and stop all diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. Harvard University later issued to statement in which it targeted Trump and refused to accept the demands of the administration.
