• Deepika Venkatachalam is an Indian actress, social media influencer, and speech-language pathologist. She is known for her appearance in the Tamil web series ‘Kana Kaanum Kaalangal’ (2022) in which she played the role of Abi. The web series is premiered on Disney+ Hotstar.

• She started her career in 2017 as a content creator by making lip-sync videos and dancing videos on TikTok and soon gained popularity. After the ban on TikTik in India in 2020, she began posting videos on  Instagram.

• She was featured in the music video of the Tamil song ‘Single 2.0’ in 2019. The song was uploaded on the YouTube channel Semma Gethu Studios.

• She appeared opposite Akash Premkumar in the Tamil music video ‘Neenda Dhooram’ (2019), which was uploaded on the YouTube channel TrendMusic.

  

• After making her web series debut with season 1 of the Tamil web series ‘Kana Kaanum Kaalangal’ in 2022, she also appeared in season 2 of the web series in 2023.

  I did a couple of campaigns earlier. One with Sameera Reddy called #itsokaygirl, where people got together to fight against unrealistic beauty standards. The other was #breakDstereotrypes where the idea was to normalise dark underarms, body hair and such.”
