• Deepak Kalra is an Indian actor, producer, rapper, anchor, and music composer who is known for his appearance in Bollywood films like ‘Fan’ (2016), ‘Wajah Tum Ho’ (2016), ‘Jai Mummy Di’ (2020), and ‘Gumraah’ (2023).

• During his childhood, Deepak exhibited a keen interest in acting, and he frequently took part in school plays to showcase his talent.

• In 2014, Deepak Kalra took a shot at auditioning for the film ‘Fan.’ While enjoying a cup of tea with a friend outside Yash Raj Films studio in Mumbai on 12 February 2015, he clicked a photograph of the studio’s board and posted it on Snapchat with the caption “It is happening” for no apparent reason. To his surprise, on the same day, he received a call from Adeep Chopra, an assistant director at Yash Raj Films, notifying him that he had been selected to play the part of a cyber chat boy in the film ‘Fan.’ The film was to be directed by Maneesh Sharma, who had previously rejected him for the role in ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl.’ Upon reaching the set of ‘Fan,’ he was handed a script that included his name along with another character named Gaurav. When he inquired about Gaurav’s role, he was informed that it was going to be played by none other than Shah Rukh Khan himself. Throughout the film’s production, Shah Rukh Khan praised Kalra’s Delhi swag and even acknowledged that it served as an inspiration to him for his character in the film.

• Kalra has worked in various music videos such as ‘Garmi Mein Chill’ (2019) and ‘Hum Befikar’ (2022).
