- Deepak first opted for science during college, but after a year, he switched to the commerce stream.
- After completing his MBA, he was doing his own business and was not sure about directing a film. However, his passion for writing stories brought him to the cinema.
- Deepak cast his sister Amulya in his debut film Manasology (2011).
- Deepak founded the Tours I Go Holiday travel agency in 2016.
- Deepak’s second film of his directorial career Sugar Factory was released in 2023. Deepak once stated in an interview that the film was inspired by a real incident that happened in front of him in Bengaluru in 2018.
