Some Lesser Known Facts About Darshana Banik

• Darshana Banik grew up in Kolkata.

  

• While she was in college, she started developing an interest in modelling.

• She has been featured in print advertisements and photoshoots of various brands.

  

• She has also walked the ramp in various fashion shows.

  

• She is the first person in her family to pursue a career in acting. Initially, her father and brother were not very happy with her decision to make her career as an actor.

• Her debut film was supposed to be the Bengali film ‘Mukhomukhi.’ However, the film got delayed.

• In 2014, she appeared in the reality TV Bengali show ‘Dadagiri Season 5.’ She also became the ambassador of Colors.

• She has acted in various Bengali films like ‘Jojo’ (2018), ‘Network’ (2019), ‘Shororipu 2: Jotugriho’ (2021), and ‘Jaalbandi’ (2022).

  

• She then visited Mumbai for a shoot of a music video. The choreographer of the music video suggested her name for a South Indian film.

• She has appeared in films of various other languages. Some of such films are ‘Aatagallu’ (2018; Telugu), ‘Black’ (2022; Telugu), ‘Operation Sundarbans’ (2022; Bangladeshi), and ‘Omar’ (2024; Bangladeshi).

  

• Darshana has acted in a few web series like ‘Bou Keno Psycho’ (2019; Bengali), ‘Byomkesh’ (2021; Bengali), ‘Hello Mini’ (2021; Hindi), and ‘Save The Tigers’ (2024; Telugu).

  

• In 2020, she acted in the Bengali TV series ‘Lockdown Diary- Galpo Holeo Satti.’

• Darshana has been featured in various Bengali music videos such as ‘Yeh Dil Hain Bekarar’ (2017), ‘Megher Danay’ (2018), ‘Tor Naamer Icchera’ (2019), and ‘Majhe Majhe Tobo’ (2020).

  

• In 2021, she appeared in the Hindi music video Tu Hi Toh Hai Khuda.

• She has been featured on the cover of various magazines.

• She is an avid animal lover and often shares pictures with dogs on her social media accounts.
