Coco Jones sang the song America the Beautiful at her kindergarten graduation.

When she was nine years old, she met Disney casting directors.
In 2006, Coco Jones started working at Radio Disney and became known for her song Real You.
In 2009, she performed live in an episode ‘Most Talented Kids’ of the television series the Maury Povich Show.
In 2010, Coco Jones participated in the singing reality show The Next Big Thing Season 3 and was a runner-up. The show aired on Radio Disney.

In 2011, she appeared as a guest on the television show So Random!, which aired on Disney Channel.
After the contest, Coco Jones released her first music album, Coco Jones and started an anti-bullying concert tour called UBU-Stop the Bullying.
In June 2012, she appeared as Roxie in the film Let It Shine, which became the most-watched Disney Channel film and the most-watched film for kids and tweens in 2012.

Coco Jones and the main cast of the film “Let It Shine’ performed at the NAACP Image Awards Nominees Luncheon before the release of the film.
After that, he signed a music agreement with Hollywood Records, an American music production company.
Coco Jones then started working with Grammy-nominated music producer Rob Galbraith and began writing and recording new songs.
On 6 December 2012, her first song, ‘Holla at the DJ,’ premiered on Radio Disney and was released on iTunes.
Her song titled ‘Made Of’ was released on 12 March 2013. It reached the top 10 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. She went on tour with Mindless Behaviour the same year.

Coco Jones then performed with Mindless Behavior, a music band, at the Radio Disney Music Awards, where she won Funniest Celebrity Take.
After that, she worked with artists David Banner, Ester Dean, and Jukebox and planned to release her first full album.
In January 2014, Hollywood Records dropped Coco Jones, and her recorded songs were not released.
In August 2014, Coco Jones released the music video of the song Peppermint.
In July 2017, she was featured in a Fanta television commercial.

In April 2018, Coco Jones acted in a 1950s-style jazz film, Flock of Four.

In September 2018, she released the music video of the song Just My Luck.
On 3 September 2019, Coco Jones released a song titled Depressed.
In August 2020, she appeared in two films, White Elephant and Vampires vs. the Bronx.
In September 2020, during a media conversation, Coco Jones spoke about colourism in the entertainment industry. She said that executives did not support her after the release of her song Let It Shine because they felt she was not marketable.
In November 2020, she released a song titled Hollyweird.

In September 2021, Coco Jones appeared as Hilary Banks in the television series Bel-Air. The show was aired on the Peacock channel and was a remake of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

On 30 January 2024, Coco Jones signed a music agreement with Warner Chappell Music.
On 9 August, Coco Jones collaborated with Disney to release a new version of the song Almost There by Princess Tiana.
On 25 April 2025, he released her first full studio album, Why Not More?.
