• Soon, he became popular in his locality for his unique dance moves and was encouraged by many to participate in dance reality shows.

• In 2018, Chetan Salunkhe participated in the dance reality show “Dance Maharashtra Dance” on ZEE Yuva.

• Thereafter, he went on to give auditions for another dance reality TV show “Dance Plus 4” three times but only got selected in the fourth season.

• He was supported by a number of his friends and relatives including his grandmother who campaigned to vote for Chetan.

  

• Chetan is a huge fan of the Marathi singer and actor Ketaki Mategaonkar, and on the set of “Dance Plus 4” show, he got a chance to meet her.

  

• He has also danced with the superstars like Prabhu Deva and Govinda. Govinda has also gifted Chetan shoes and clothes.

• Chetan is an ardent follower of B. R. Ambedkar and has even put a portrait of Ambedkar in his home.

• Chetan’s mother is a huge fan of Madhuri Dixit and she also got a chance to dance with Madhuri on the show of “Dance Plus 4.”

• In February 2019, Chetan emerged as the winner of Remo D’souza’s dance reality show “Dance Plus 4.” In the grand finale, Chetan had partnered with the international artist Marquese Scott and not only took home the trophy but also ₹25 lakh with which he would buy an apartment for his family.

• Chetan’s mother works as a household help; as his father can’t work due to a leg problem.

• After his win, Chetan said,
  

  My mother had taken several loans which we could not repay so I had to quit school and work after the 10th standard. I asked mom to give me one chance to take part in this show but I never thought I will win.”
