• Charit Desai is an Indian director and script supervisor. He is the ex-boyfriend of Indian actress, Parineeti Chopra.

• Born in a Gujarati family in Mumbai, Charit, soon after completing his undergraduate degree, ventured into the television and film industry in 2007. He started his career in Bollywood as a dialogue coach with the film Chandni Chowk to China (2009), starring Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone.

  

• He has worked as a script supervisor in many Hindi films like Teen Patti (2010), Aisha (2010), Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), Ungli (2014), Kapoor & Sons (2016), and Ki & Ka (2016).

  

• In 2018, Charit Desai made his directorial debut as a music video director with the Hindi language music album Ghar Se Nikal Te Hi, starring Armaan Malik. In 2018, he directed the music album Oh Humsafar, which was sung by Neha Kakkar and Tony Kakkar. In the same year, he directed the Punjabi music video Gal Sun.

  

• In 2020, he directed the Hindi-language music album Mera Dil Bhi Kitna Pagal Hai. Subsequently, in 2021, he directed two music albums, Main Marjaunga, and Zara Zara. In 2022, he directed three music albums titled Uzr Aane Mein, Tu Hai Mera, and Mashooka. In the same year, he directed the Hindi-language music album Bas Tujhse Pyaar Ho; the song was sung by Armaan Malik. Charit Desai, during an interview, Charit Desai talked about the music album and said,
  

  As soon as I heard the song, conceptually I wanted to create a beautiful aspirational romance in a love story setting and pad it with a slightly dreamy visual palette. I wanted the physical camaraderie to pop between my characters which Armaan and Vedika really helped me with. They were supportive of all the madness I wanted to show in the song.”

• Reportedly, in 2017, Charit Desai started dating Parineeti Chopra; however, in an interview, when Parineeti was asked whether she was dating Charit, she said that she didn’t want to make any announcements about her dating life. Parineeti said,
  

  I’ve never accepted or denied anything. My family, friends and everybody around know the truth, and that’s all that matters to me. I think the media expects us to make an announcement, but hey, it is my personal life for a reason. So yeah, no acceptance and no denial.”

  In 2018, Charit also attended the pre-wedding dinner party organised at a plush restaurant in Mumbai by Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. However, in 2019, amid the rumours of Charit and Parineeti dating, Parineeti, in an interview, talked about her breakup and termed it as the worst phase of her life. During the same discussion, Parineeti said,

  I have gone through one big heartbreak and I think it’ll be the only one. Honestly, I was a mess. It was the worst time in my life because I had not seen any kind of rejection till then. I needed my family the most.But if anything changed in terms of maturity, it’s all because of that. I thank God for giving me that phase early on in my life.”
