• Chandra Shekhar Dutta is an Indian actor who has acted in several films, TV shows, and web series. He acted as Velji in Ranveer Singh starrer film Ram-Leela, as Raja Rao in the Ram Gopal Verma-directed film Rakta Charitra, and as a preacher in the Adah Sharma starrer film The Kerala Story.

• He was interested in acting since childhood and used to act in the dramas and plays in his school. He started practising in theatres when he lived at his maternal uncle’s home in Bundu.

  

• From 2001 to 2003, he trained in acting under Dinesh Khanna, an associate professor at the National School of Drama, New Delhi.

• In 2004, he enrolled at SRC, Delhi to hone his acting skills and acted in more than 20 plays. He later moved to FTII, Pune where he won the best actor award in the first and second years.

  

• In 2005, he worked as an artist at the Song & Drama Division of the Indian government in New Delhi.

• In 2008, he wrote and directed a play titled ‘A Rehearsal Called Andher Nagari’ which was given the third place award in the 9th Ryan International Theatre Festival in 2008.

• In 2009, he worked as an actor for the International Screen Writers lab conducted by PAL at Matheran, Maharashtra.

• He went on to work in many TV shows like Savdhaan India and Crime Patrol.

  

• He worked in many films like the corporate film for NABARD, Ramleela, Error – 404, Kshitij, and Kramashah.

  

• He has worked in many web series like Laakhon Mein Ek, Nakaab, and Khakee: The Bihar Chapter.

  

• In 2023, he acted as a preacher in the controversial film The Kerala Story.

  

• Many of his films such as Mujib, Ek Battey Do, and Dhumkkudiya were appreciated by the critics and have won many International awards.
