Breanna was attracted by softball and as a kid, softball was her first sport.
She was picked for her first basketball team when she was 10, not because she was talented, but because she was tall.
When USA Basketball invited her to tryout for its first U-16 team, Breanna was just 14 years old and her parents initially thought about saying no because she would miss too much school. Fortunately, Breanna did not agree, a good decision made.
She was the first player to be chosen in the WNBA’s 2016 Draft.
In 2016, Stewart became the first-ever unanimous Associated Press Player of the Year.
Named the 2013 Final Four Most Outstanding Player, becoming the first freshman to win the award in more than two decades.
