• Bobby Kataria grew up in a middle-class family in Village Basai, Gurugram.

• He desired to become an actor in childhood.

• Growing up, he was good at sports.

  

• After completing his schooling, Bobby Kataria founded a non-profit organisation named Yuva Ekta Foundation through which he began doing social work. He, along with the director of the organisation, Manju Singh, helps solve several cases like rape, accident, harassment, and Posco cases. The organisation also helps for public welfare and to provide education for the poor.
  

  

  

• In 2018, he was appointed as the Haryana State President of Rashtriya Jat Tejveer Sena.

• In 2019, during the COVID-19 lockdown in India, Bobby Kataria became popular for distributing food to the poor.

• He competes at various male bodybuilding championships and is an all-time event and state record-holding powerlifter.

• On 20 January 2023, he established a consultancy firm named MBK Global Consultancy, where he began providing employment to people seeking employment opportunities outside India.

  

• He also owns a YouTube channel named MBK, where he posts controversial and vulgar content. He promotes gun culture and violence on his YouTube channel.

• After he gained popularity, he began extorting money from the organisations/persons he helped.

• Once, he shot a video of himself chasing an SUV car (while riding a motorcycle) in which he claimed that a woman was being kidnapped by armed men. He posted the video on his Facebook account. Later, the police found out that the video was fake and gave him a warning to not to make such videos.

• In 2024, after he was arrested in a human trafficking case, the police investigation revealed that Kataria used to post advertisements regarding job opportunities for Youth outside India on his social media handles like YouTube and Instagram.

• Arun Kumar and Manish Tomar, who filed a complaint against Kataria, revealed that they approached Bobby for employment opportunities aborad after watching his advertisement on social media. They claimed that Bobby called them to his office and asked them to submit a registration fee of Rs. 2000 each, promising them jobs in the UAE and Singapore respectively.

• They further told the police that they were defrauded of Rs. 4 lakh and were sent to Vientiane, where upon their arrival, their passport and personal documents were snatched by his group members. Later, they were forced to work in fake call centers to commit cyber fraud against US citizens.
