Some Lesser Known Facts About Bejoy Nambiar

• Bejoy Nambiar is an Indian film director, story writer, film producer, and screenwriter. He is the ex-husband of Indian actor Raj Babbar’s daughter Juhi Babbar.

• During his teens, he enjoyed watching films and listening to music.

• While in college, he joined a theatre group Theatre Club of Bangalore. He even directed a theatre play named ‘Getaway.’

• After completing his schooling, he enrolled himself in an engineering college. However, he dropped out in his first year due to severe bullying and ragging. ^[4]The Indian Express Later, his father asked him to do an MBA to join his family business. However, Bejoy wanted to make his career in film direction. So, after completing his MBA, he started working on his debut short film.

• He directed the Hindi short film ‘Soap’ in 2014.

• Bejoy worked as a director in a few Hindi web series such as ‘Flip’ (2019; Eros Now), ‘Taish’ (2020; ZEE5 as director-producer-writer), ‘The Fame Game’ (2022; Netflix), and ‘Kaala’ (2023; Disney+ Hotstar).

  

• He has directed various Tamil web series like ‘Navarasa’ (2021; Netflix) and ‘Sweet Kaaram Coffee’ (2023; Amazon Prime Video).

  

• He owns two private companies named Cannanore County Club and Resorts Private Limited, which was started on 30 March 2000, and Minar International Ltd, which was started on 17 January 2006.

• In 2008, he won the English TV show ‘Gateway,’ which aired on Sony Pix. Later, he started a film production company named Getaway Productions in Sewri, Mumbai.

• In an interview, he was asked if he ever wanted to become an actor. He jokingly replied that he acted once in a play in which he played the role of a dead person.
