Before working in the Kannada film industry, he worked as a stage actor with the theatre group Janamana.

In 1999, he founded the theatre group Niranthara foundation in Mysuru which aimed at addressing social issues in the society.

He rose to fame after appearing in the film Bhairava Geetha (2018).
