  • He did his schooling at Singapore International School, Mumbai, before moving abroad for further studies.
  • He was a bright student in his academics. In an interview, he shared that his teachers were disappointed in him when he chose not follow an academic path. He added,

I was always very good at studies. I always got the first rank in my class, even in classes 10 and 12. I was in the top 100 of the world and everyone said, ‘Now you will go to an Ivy League college.’ I applied, and I got in as well but then I was like… I don’t want to do it. I decided that I want to be in a creative field, and get into acting.”

  • From a young age, Ayushmann developed an interest in cooking and food, and for a short time, even started a small bakery where he baked and sold bread locally.
  • To follow his passion for acting, Ayushmaan Sethi relocated to New York to pursue formal training in acting, where he studied at multiple prestigious institutions, including the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute.
  • After completing his acting education in New York, Sethi returned to India to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
  • In 2024, Sethi co-wrote the short film “Friends,” directed by Atul Mongia and produced by Akhil Iyer. The film features his brother Aaryamann Sethi and actress Yogita Bihani in leading roles.
