• In 1995, Avinash Pande compiled and coordinated the book titled ‘Shabd Swar Ke Sumeru.’ The book is based on the life of Rashtra Kavi Pradeep.

• In 2007, he compiled and coordinated the book Ek Deep Kavi Pradeep.

• In 2008, he lost the Rajya Sabha elections from Maharashtra by one vote to Rahul Bajaj, an Indian billionaire businessman.

• Avinash Pande has served as a member of various consultative committees such as the Committee for the Ministry of Industry (1986), Minimum Wages Committee for Bidi Workers (1987), India’s 40th year of Independence Celebration Committee (1987), Ministry of Human Resource Development (2010), Urban Development (2010), and Hindi Salahkar Samiti under the Ministry of Panchayati Raj (2010).

• The three-member committee was formed to resolve the concerns expressed by Sachin Pilot and the other rebel MLAs of Rajasthan. One major concern was that Sachin Pilot held the post of Deputy CM in addition to leading the PCC, whereas the Gehlot Camp wanted Rajasthan to adopt the “One Leader One Post” model. It was alleged that Avinash Pande worked as per Ashok Gehlot‘s interests and was biased towards Ashok Gehlot.
